This page details our terms and conditions of hire.
Collection and Return of your motorhome.
The hirer can collect the motorhome after 4.00 p.m. on the agreed date of
collection and return it by 11.00 a.m. on the agreed date of return.
In the event of late return of the motorhome a surcharge of £ 100
will be payable and will be deducted from the Hirer's deposit. Early return
of the motorhome will not attract a refund. The motorhome should be returned
with a full tank of fuel. The nearest filling stations are at Inveraray
and Arrochar.
Personal Identification Requirements
To ensure your holiday is not delayed, we require you to send us the following
identification items together with your full payment at least 14 days prior
to departure:
A completed reservation form for each driver.
2 items of proof of residential ID of the hirer.
(Utility bill, or credit card statement is acceptable)
Copy of driving licence (paper part only) for each driver.
You need to have the following items when collecting
(Note we cannot release the vehicle without these items being present)
Passport or other photo ID of hirer.
Valid UK, overseas national or International driving licence (plastic card
and paper parts) for each driver.
Drivers & Driving Licence.
Only the persons named on the insurance document will be allowed to drive
the motorhome. Drivers must be over 21 years of age and under 75 years of
age. Drivers must declare any motoring convictions at the time insurance
is arranged. Additional picture identification will be requested at the
time of collection. Drivers from outside the United Kingdom will be required
to hold an international driving licence. Additional insurance premiums
may be payable by hirers within certain age groups or those with motoring
convictions.
Insurance.
Fully comprehensive motor insurance is provided by Rowan Motor Homes as
detailed on our rates page. We strongly advise the Hirer to take out a travel
insurance policy to cover any other eventualities. Late return of the motorhome
will result in the driver not being insured to drive the vehicle and would
be an offence under the road traffic act. Download our insurance proposal

Deposit.
A deposit of 500 GBP will be held by Rowan Motor Homes for the duration
of the hire and will be refunded in full on return of the motorhome in clean,
undamaged condition at the agreed date of return. The cost of additonal
cleaning, repairs or replacements or late return charges will be deducted
from this deposit.
Breakdown
AA cover is provided within the cost of the motorhome hire.
Your Agreement and Liabilities
The hirer is responsible for all costs incurred as a result of uninsurable
losses such as damage to windscreen, tyres and damage or losses to fixtures
and fittings. The hirer is responsible for all costs incurred as a result
of breaches ot the Road Traffic Act and will indemnify the hirer from any
liability.
Availability
If the vehicle is not available due to circumstances beyond our control,
we reserve the right to refund monies paid by the hirer.
Cancellation
All cancellations must be made in writing. Deposits are not refundable.
If at the commencement or during the hire drivers licences are found to
be invalid or do not comply with our terms and conditions or those of our
insurers the hire will immediately be cancelled. The hire fee will not be
refunded.
Animals
Unfortunately we do not allow pets in our motorhome.
Smoking
We have a strict no smoking policy in our motorhome.
Parking Facilities
Cars left at Rowan House for the duration of the hire are parked at owner's
risk and an insurance document must be provided for the car
